We are closer now to the the future than at any point in the history of mankind.
I heard some religious talking head on television say something akin to that, speaking to the fact we are closer to God's judgment than ever before in history. Well, yeah. If you are wont to believe something is coming in the future, then yes every day you are in fact closer to it happening than you have ever been. I just extrapolated it into the quote above. Can't fault the logic of it.
